Terms of Service

Last updated: June 20, 2026

Welcome to CardQR. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of getcardqr.com (the "Service"), operated by CardQR ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

CardQR allows users to create digital cards — including business cards, restaurant menus, event pages, WiFi sharing cards, link hubs, and product catalogs — and generate QR codes linking to them, without requiring an account.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use this Service. If you are under 18, you should have a parent or guardian's permission.

3. Your Content

You are solely responsible for the content you submit when creating a card (including names, photos, contact details, prices, WiFi credentials, links, and any other information). By submitting content, you confirm that:

  • You own the content or have the right to use and share it
  • The content does not violate any law or infringe on any third party's rights
  • The content does not contain anything illegal, harmful, defamatory, obscene, or fraudulent

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms without prior notice.

4. No Account Required

CardQR does not require account creation. Each card you create is associated with a private edit link, which acts as your access credential. You are responsible for keeping this link secure — anyone with the link can edit your card. We are not responsible for unauthorized edits resulting from a lost or shared edit link.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Share WiFi credentials, contact information, or any data without proper authorization to do so
  • Distribute malware, spam, or phishing content
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service's infrastructure

6. Advertising

The Service displays advertisements served through Google AdSense and may display ads from other advertising partners in the future. We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements.

7. Service Availability

We aim to keep CardQR available and your created cards accessible, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service, in whole or part, at any time.

8. Card Content Expiry and Removal

While we aim to keep created cards accessible indefinitely, we reserve the right to remove cards that are inactive for an extended period, violate these Terms, or are subject to legal requests.

9. Intellectual Property

The CardQR name, logo, design, and underlying software are our property or licensed to us. You retain ownership of the content you create using the Service.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CardQR shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold CardQR harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, without regard to conflict of law principles, unless otherwise required by applicable local law in your jurisdiction.
